Staff Representative

Mariana Maldonado started her career at Arizona State University in 2006 as a student worker within Chemistry & Biochemistry, Student Recreation Center, and at an off-campus work-study non-profit. 2008, she joined Parking & Transit Services and helped implement the Bike Valet program in 2013. Since then, she has served in academic units: WPC Economics Department, WPC Dean's Office, HIDA Dean's Office, SoLS Personnel Office, and directed operations as the HR Manager for the Polytechnic School and Manufacturing Systems and Networks. Leading service operations within human resources roles, assisting students, staff, and faculty in those roles. She briefly served as a Business Analyst within Student Success Innovations, developing and executing test plans between functional project teams and technology support organizations.

In the fall of 2022, Mariana joined Enterprise Technology as the Process Architect within the Design & Transition department of Service Delivery Operations. The role focuses on service design, mapping, and optimizing processes.

Mariana is serving as the Staff Representative Executive Board member of the ASU Chicano/Latino Faculty & Staff Association (CLFSA), is affiliated with College University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR), and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).

Education

• Master of Legal Studies with an emphasis in HR and Employment Law from Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law. May 2020.
• Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies in Public Administration & Public Management and Communication from the School of Letters and Sciences. Minor: Women & Gender Studies. December 2009.
